SOUTH BANK CRICKET CLUB RULES1. NAME
The Club shall be called the South Bank Cricket Club. 2. COLOURS The Clubʼs colours shall be Black, Blue and Amber. 3. HONORARY OFFICERS The Honorary Officers shall consist of a President and as many Vice-Presidents as shall be elected by the Club at the Annual General Meeting. The period of office shall be for two years but retiring officers shall be eligible for re-election. The Management Committee shall have the discretion to recommend that a retiring President who has honourably served the Club to be made an Honorary Life President Honourary Officers shall be eligible to attend Committee Meetings but without voting powers at such meetings. 4. OFFICERS The Officers of the Club shall consist of a Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, Fixture Secretary, Team Secretary, and the Team Captains each to be elected at the Annual General Meeting. 5. CAPTAINS Each team shall be organised and run by a Captain and a Vice-Captain each to be elected at the Annual General Meeting. 6. MANAGEMENT The Club shall be governed by a Management Committee consisting of the Officers of the Club and other members to be elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Management Committee shall hold regular meetings as arranged by the Secretary who shall give at least seven days notice of such a meeting. Five members of the Management Committee with voting powers shall constitute a quorum. In the absence of the Chairman the members present shall appoint one oftheir number to be Chairman for the meeting. 7. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Annual General Meeting shall be held after the finish of the cricket season but not later than the 31st of March of each year. The date of the Annual General Meeting shall be posted in the fixture card and the date confirmed to all members by the Secretary at least fourteen days before the meeting. 8. SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING A Special General Meeting shall be convened at any time by order of the Management Committee or upon a requisition sent to the Secretary and signed by at least 20 members of the Club. A meeting at the request of members shall be held within 14 days of its receipt. The purpose of the meeting shall be stated in the notice convening the meeting. 9. FINANCE The Club shall be financed by means of an annual subscription and a match levy for each game played. Payment of the annual subscription shall be made by the 31st of May each year. The amount of the annual subscription and the match levy shall be set by the Management Committee for approval at the Annual General Meeting. Other fund raising activities shall be approved by the Management Committee and proper accounts rendered to the Treasurer. The end of the financial year shall be the 31st of October. An audited annual Statement of Account shall be sent with the notice confirming the date of the Annual General Meeting. Two auditors shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting . 10. SELECTION Teams shall be selected by a Selection Committee consisting of the Chairman, Team Secretary and the Captains. The Committee shall have the power to consult with the other Officers of the Club. A Captain who cannot attend a Selection Meeting shall arrange for his Vice-Captain or deputy to attend instead. The Selection Committee shall normally meet on a Monday to select the teams for the following weekendʼs fixtures. The meeting may be held on another day providing there is sufficient time to notify players of theirselection. Players who withdraw after being notified of their selection shall let the Captain or the Team Secretary know immediately, Players shall also let the Captain or Team Secretary know when they are not available for selection. PLEASE NOTE Preference for selection shall be given to players who have paid their annual subscription by the due date 11. DISCIPLINE The Management Committee shall have the authority to deal with matters of discipline and to take such action as they consider to be appropriate. 12. CHANGE OF RULES No alteration shall be made to the Rules except at an Annual General Meeting or at a Special General Meeting convened for the purpose and 14 days notice must be given to the Secretary of any proposed alterations or addition and the same sent to all members at least seven days before the meeting. No change to the rules shall be effected unless two thirds of those present and voting support the change. 13. EMERGENCY POWERS The Management Committee shall have power to deal with any matters that are not otherwise provided for in the Rules and to cater for any such contingency that may arise. |

It is very important that you tell your skippers if you are not available the following week. The future success of the Club depends on your support. INCLEMENT WEATHER If members are in any doubt because of bad weather as to whether their game will be played or not, it is THEIR duty to telephone either the skipper or the ground. Do not assume the game is off. ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS 2022 The Annual Subscription for 2022 has been fixed at £100.
